Mirena removal?

I have an appointment for the 22nd with my gynecologist to get my mirena removed. Has anyone gotten one removed? What should I expect?

I have had one out prior to conceiving my LO... it was hardly any problem at all!!

was very quick and a tiny bit of a cramp as it was removed through the cervix but really no issue at all!

xxx

As mrsrh said, a little uncomfortable and I felt a slight cramping feeling, over in seconds.

I was lucky! I had one period after it was reomved then fell pregnant.

If you are worried about AF on holiday, could you have it out after or cover yourself with the pill or progesterone to delay AF??

Thanks. I feel quite a bit better. I can't find any of the information I want on the internet, so better to ask here, I suppose.

I had mine out in April and did have a rather heavy bleed after, but my cycles are back to normal now. It took a couple of months for me but I know some people go back to normal straight away. I suppose everyone is different, good luck
