MY TTC Holiday, help me plan.

Hi Ladies,

I'm so excited we have just booked our summer holiday and we plan to start TTC there (if our dates work out, if not hay we will just practice )

So what I would like to know is, What advice do you ladies have for me.

Is there anything you would take with you?

What should I plan in advance? (I'm already on my prenatal vits)

And anything else you think of would be great, I'm so excited and love planning and thought it would be even more fun for you ladies to help me.

Oh I should have said we have booked a 5 star hotel in Mexico

I would just go and enjoy it without doing anything extra for ttc, if you get lucky it may be the last holiday you have for the two of you on your own for a while!! I'd put all your energy into planning and doing as much as you can like water sports, water parks, afternoon drinkies, lying in, staying out late, pony treks, hiking, or even just sunbathing - cos that becomes a thing of the past with a baby on holiday! Xx

I know what you mean but I'm so excited, what more could I ask for a great holiday and trying for our little one. I do still want to do all those things, although I wont be drinking (I don't really drink anyway so wont miss it) buy my want for a little one is so much more. Thanks for your thoughts anyway

Ooh snap! We are also going to ttc in Mexico on our summer hol. I am on frolic acid, eating healthily and trying to cut down on the amount of coffee that I drink plus regular exercise. I am not a big drinker so not watching how much I drink coz I don't have much booze. Where are you staying in Mexico? Xx

Me too, we are going on our belated Honeymoon to Mexico in June & I'm hoping for a little honeymoon miracle whilst we are there.

I'm on serious countdown now (Only 13 weeks to wait) but before then we are hoping to have a bit of a cheapy holiday in April to celebrate my 30th.

I'm concentrating on getting fit & healthy, ready for that last holiday wearing a bikini. Taking prenatel vits and cutting back on coffee and glasses of wine.

I've also bought a book called 'what to expect before your expecting' which helps you prepare before you start TTC. I've finished that now and the temptation to buy the next books is very strong!

I too will be having a TTC holiday, but in Thaïland. I won't do much regarding TTC except make sure I have my prenatals with me and preseed instead of my regular lube.

You could take the sperm friendly, conception assisting lube. I would just totally chill and enjoy it!

Agreed. And enjoy doing all the things you can't do while pregnant or with small children....sleep in a bit, be indulgent, drink some nice cocktails or champagne, do any activities you always wanted to do (waterskiing or whatever), get a massage and/or a facial, and enjoy. We are going on a pre-TTC holiday and I'll be enjoying lots of cocktails, not worrying about what I eat or drink (we'll be in India, so if I was PG or had children, I'd have to be more cautious), and getting lots of massages.
