Any book recommendations?

Need to stock up on books for my ereader. I read a lot as I commute to work and I like to read before bed.

I can pretty much read anything.

Any recommendations would be great.

I'm in the US so that may change some availability, but here's a few I've read lately that I loved!

Life as I Blow It by Sara Colonna (short and hilarious!)
A Game of Thrones by George RR Martin (long fantasy series, amazing!!)
The Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich (long, very funny series)
State of Wonder by Ann Patchett
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

These are some I've read over the last few months, but I don't get to read very often since I'm in school.... have fun!

Thanks for those suggestions... I have game of thrones along with the next 3 in the series on my ereader already but I have not been in the mood to read them just yet. Will check out the rest of the them.

Thanks.

I just finished a fabulous novel called Jamrach's Menagerie. It's about the titular Jamrach Menagerie in 18th century London and a small boy called Jaffy who's elevated from his status in the slums to go and work there. He's then sent on a whaling ship to try and capture a dragon and there's all sorts of adventures on the sea and on desert islands before a tragedy turns it all a bit darker. I absolutely loved it.

It's a little older now but The Time Traveler's Wife is an amazing book. I also enjoy anything by Jhumpa Lahiri...she has a couple books and a couple collections of short stories.

I don't know what your taste is but if your up for something a little different the book Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides was one of those that stuck with me.

I also love books by Lisa See. She has a gorgeous writing style. My favorites have been Shanghai Girls followed by Dreams of Joy.
