ISA's

So, the new tax year has started and I'm looking to move my "baby fund" into a new ISA. I was just wondering if anyone else is doing this and which ones are you looking at?

It's really sad how I get excited about this stuff

I'm thinking of doin the same thing, was waiting till I got up to my £4000 but might start looking into it more now. My extra job at weekends makes my savings each month so the more I work the more I save for baby fund! Not looked at any definate ISA's yet.

My dad has been telling me about ISA's that are linked to stocks and shares today. They look good if your willing to take a risk. He says he made loads on one of his when he cashed it in a few years ago but I'm not sure I want to risk my little nest egg.

You should defo look into it now to make the most of your savings

I opened one recently with santander. 12 months interest rate of 3.3%
And its also an instant access account and can make regular payments rather than a lump sum!

^^thats the one I'm looking at

My current ISA is with them so it would be pretty easy to swap over

Nationwide seem to do a good one but you need to have an account with them which I don't.

What are you saving for then? Baby items, to cover maternity or just for general life? I origionally saved 2k to cover baby things but now I'm just saving for general life. Hopefully I will get enough to buy my iwn place one day

I too looked at nationwide, but I don't have an account, so never mind!

Mine's pretty much the same. Saving for general life! That includes enough for our own place, enough for baby, and a bit of emergency fund here and there! Its nice to have that cushion of money. Getting the cushion of money is the hard part!
