I have suffered from social anxiety for what seems like forever now. The first time I recall it I was in grade 4 and then every year after that it got worse and worse until eventually I almost never left the house.
I dealt with panic attacks a lot. Fortunately I had a great psychologist who was amazing and really helped me through a lot, also I had great support in my husband.
I'm not saying I'm 100% but I'm nowhere near the girl I was a few years ago.
Having my daughter has actually helped me, I want to go out and have her see the world and to experience things.

If your psychiatrist is recommending it then it sounds like you're doing pretty good and a lot better than you think you are.

Its only natural to be afraid and all I can say its quite the daunting task anyway. I was terrified when it came down to eventually trying.

I am sure everything will be fine.

Thanks so much for the encouraging words

I just never imagined that something I wanted so badly for so long would be so scary to me I guess I just need to keep talking about it and reassuring myself that woman with anxiety disorders or other mental health issues have children every day and are wonderful mothers.
