BLW - preloaded spoons

For anyone giving preloaded spoons, how is it working for you? My LO actually manages pretty well (eventhough she would still try to eat the other end of the spoon and make a big mess!) but the main difficulty is that she won't let me take the spoon back to load it again which ends up in frustration for both of us! She won't eat mushy things with her hands though (can't blame her I wouldn't!!) so I'm not sure what to do here..

My LO is exactly the same, refuses to eat mush with her hands, doesn't want to let go of the spoon! My only suggestion is have 2 or 3 spoons at once and hand her a loaded one when she's finished the first one and maybe she'll be more interested in the one with food on it!

Yep my LO is great at feeding himself with a pre loaded spoon! He wont really have it any other way

He's a BLW baby through and through, pre loaded spoons or finger foods is where it's at with him.

From the start I've said 'shall I give you some more?' while gently taking the spoon. Maybe the recognises that phrase now, and if she is enjoying a food she gives me the spoon willingly, but not if she's had enough and is just playing

My LO does pretty well with a spoon too. I generally wait until she seems like she might relent on letting go (after she's jammed it in her mouth and then waved it around a bit) and then ask her if she wants more (and give her the baby sign for it) then gently take it from her to reload
