Transitioning from bottle to sippy??

My son turned 6 months old today and I decided I wanted to start getting him off the bottle as much as possible. I tried him on the Nuby sippy cup with the no leak nipple....he does okay with it at times, but only for a few seconds at a time and then he starts fidgeting as if he hates it. Of course I know he has to get use to it, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips that worked for you when you were transitioning from the bottle. Are there any other sippy cups/brands you would recommend to make it easier for both of us?

Thanks in advance!

I just commented on another post about this but my LO loves the Tommee Tippee 'tip it up' cup/beaker. It's a silicon teat thing, she can control the flow and it's non spill. She loves her water from it!! x
