anyone TW'ing????

I see a lot of threads about BLW but maybe one about TW so do we have any TW'ers? I would hate to feel judged (often happens) for giving my daughter apples and rice. Maybe we can support each other?

Yep I TW both of mine starting at 6 months. As I start at 6 months I can skip stage 1 so I start with mashed food and finger food from day one. I started my little girl just over a week ago and she is doing well, taking food well off the spoon and having a good go at her finger foods.

I TW'ed my first but he is almost 6 and I cant remember what I did at the start at all, I know I never had any problems with him and he is still a good eater. I started yesterday to give my little girl some baby porridge and some more today. She wasnt too impressed yesterday but did a little better today. How much should she be eating to start with? Help!

Yesi started a couple of days ago. It's going well so far and today there was hardly any mess which was nice I started her on baby porridge and yesterday pear puree. She is really enjoying her food and is a much happier baby! She was getting very grouchy and waking a lot. I couldn't do baby led weaning obviously cos she's only 17 weeks but when she's better at grabbing ill do some finger foods suppose. I'm quite enjoying making the purees and seeing her gobble them up though

What stuff is ur baby eating?

I got my girl (mind you she is four months) to eat about 8 bites. They probably won't eat a lot to start with. My son ate more tho.

I'm not sure how much she ate, I only made up one tablespoon of porridge but she probably only ate about half of that? Most of it coming straight back out at the moment so takes a couple of goes to get the spoonful fully down. She did much better today than yesterday tho so I guess it will just take time. Do we just go for any veg now or is there a certain amount of time its supposed to be cereal only? How soon do we go to 2 meals a day?

I wanted to leave it a month longer but my baby was CONSTANTLY hungry for the past 3 weeks, feeding up to 20 times a day whilst before i could have 3/4 hour stretched, now im lucky if i get an hour! He only has 2 spoonfulls or if he likes something he'll have loads lol
