BLW: What was your LO's very first food?

I'm sort of lost and have no idea where to start with BLW. What is a good first food to give?

My son is going to start solids in 2 weeks, and up until now he's had nothing but breast milk.

My pediatrician told me to start rice cereal at 6 months but I personally never understood the point of rice cereal despite researching it, so if anyone could clue me in on that too, would be much appreciated

We never did rice cereal. Tried it once but LO looked disgusted and to be fair it tastes like wallpaper paste. We started slowly with chunks of softish fruit and veg like mango, banana, avacado etc. then tried toast, pasta and well , everything!

I don't see the point of baby rice either. First taste was mango. Then he had cucumber, breadsticks, toast, rice crackers, apple and satsumas. Then everything!

wait... how do you know what wallpaper paste tastes like?
nevermind, I'm not sure I want to know.

I also never understood the point of baby cereal.
I was thinking baby's first meal would probably be steamed veggies.

My LOs first meal was steamed carrots, cauliflower and broccoli. Next day was sticks of cucumber and red pepper.
