Was this a successful start to weaning?

I intended to give LO his first taste of food at lunch time, be he was so grumpy because we'd been out and he wouldn't nap, so I tried at tea time instead.

I gave him puréed carrot, he didn't take much off the spoon, I guess that's normal as he's never seen one before, and his face looked like I'd just fed him poo, but there was no gagging, none came back out and he probably had a teaspoon full in total!

He then finished 5oz of milk, which is unusual, it's usually 4 and now he's zonked out! Lol!

He's almost 23 weeks, does that sound like how it's supposed to go?
