Finger Foods List


For myself and others, i am making a list of finger food ideas.

Feel free to add and i will add them in


Fruit
Cucumber sticks
Apple slices
Apple rings
Pear slices
Pear rings
Banana wedges
Mango chunks
Melon
Tangerines
Plums
Avocado wedges
Watermelon
Dried fruit
Tinned manderine oranges, great to keep in the cupboard
Bananitoes in Tesco (by the tropical fruit)

Veg
Steamed carrot sticks
Steamed Broccoli (stem easy to hold)
Sweet potato wedges
Roast parsnips
Mange tout
Pepper strips
Roast aubergine
Roast mushrooms
Baby corn
Roast butternut squash
Butternut squash strips
Roast peppers
Green beans
Asparagus (not the very fine kind, the thicker stems)
Lettuce
cooked pumpkin
Light fried potatoes
Fried or grilled flat mushrooms cut into strips
Spring onion
Paprika coated sweet potato wedges

pastas are also good, I find that the elbow macaronis have worked best for us

Erm...waffles (the potatoe kind) i do these for Paddy, then cut them into strips they are easy to hold.

butternut squash wedges
steamed mongetout (sp?)
raw pepper in strips

frozen yoghurt (icelolly style - also great for teething )

Great idea for a thread would make a great sticky when it gathers steam x

veg - roast aubergine, steamed broccoli, roast mushrooms, baby corn, roast butternut squash, roast pepper, green beans.

fruit - plums,

avocado wedges, lettuce, watermelon.

duno if these are any good but..

harriets had..
-ice cream cones (the sort ones you get in a pack) with yoghurt in/on so she can hold it.
-marmite/jam on toast

haha my minds gone blank! ill write more when i remember
