Thats awesome that she liked the mango!! I have not yet tried mango, but i have tried avacodo..haha..she didn't mind it but it wasn't one of her favorites, that was ok cause i love avacodo and there was more for me..haha

Do you have any good recipes? I would love to start making my own foods for my little girl, other then the avocodo shes basically been having jars of fruits and veggies and chicken and beef dinners..But i would love to freeze up some into ice cube trays for her, i think that would be fun!

I always just make up one thing at a time and when its time for her to eat I mix them if I feel like more than one thing. If you mix and freeze two things together and your LO has a reaction you wont know what she is allergic to.
I have mixed
Apple and pear
apple mango
mango and pear
peach and mango
pumpkin and sweet potato
sweet potato and carrot... she isnt a carrot fan at all
I mix pretty much everything.
Sometimes I just give her single things mixed with oatmeal or rice cereal.

Hi,
I just have a quick question as it's not till LO gets to 17 weeks and we can get her on the baby rice (that in all honesty I think she would benefit from now - but that's another story) and I have been looking at some different weaning charts but can't make sense of them??!! I think it is lingering baby brain!!
Anyway, my question is - when it says at the beginning to start with 1 teaspoon of food... does this mean 1 tsp when it is made up or 1 tsp of dry rice mixed with appropriate amount of milk?
Help!!!!! lol

I didn't begin with baby rice but I think it means made up. I gave my LO some porridge in a tiny tiny tub and she didn't finnish it so for that reason I'm going with, 1 tsp made up. Hope that helps

See my situation was a little different, books that i've read said to start with 1 tbsp and i never thought about if that was prepared or not, so i was just measuring it 1 tbsp unprepared...Well she ended up eating it all and my doctor said it was fine.

It's 1 spoon measured of powder. Anyway it you dont get more than 1.5 spoons after adding water or milk. Omar still eats 4 scoops of cereals (I use the formula scoops) with little water as he prefer it thick xx
