Toppings for Toast

What do you all put on toast for your LO's?

Also is marmite a no go because of the salt?

Thanks!

I've avoided marmite, like you say because of salt. I've put on unsalted butter, hummus, pure fruit spreads, cream cheese, mackerel paté (whizzed up mackerel, lemon juice and cream cheese), mashed banana, mashed avocado. That's about all I can think of!

Ruby loves tuna mayo on toast, topped with a little bit of cheese and grilled.
Other than, pretty much everything Tacey has mentioned

Tacey your mackeral pate sounds lovely

Smooth organic peanut butter is about the only thing we can add to the list.

Mashed up banana, soft cheese spread, tuna and grated cheese.

I'm sure my HV said that marmite was ok..... I can't stand it so don't have any, but I'm sure she said it was ok??

ive been making my own fruit 'spread' by cooking up some strawberries, apricots, bananas, whatevers in the fridge, and putting it in the fridge, its really sweet (without added sugar) and spreads really well. K loves it! Otherwise philadelphia, mashed banana, avocado, tuna.
I also tried making him some tomato spread / pasta sauce which seems to go down pretty well - just cooked up tomatoes, bit of garlic, finely chopped courgette.
otherwise nothing new sorry!
