Finally buying a Tripp Trapp, need some help

So far I've just been getting by with a Bumbo and a Chico high chair my mums friend gave to me but he's getting too big for his bumbo and I hate the Chico one, it's got so many blood grooves in it it's a nightmare to clean and as we're doing BLW it cancer pretty dirty.

I've got enough to get a Tripp Trapp now but was wondering if anyone has the seat cushion? Is it worth getting it and is it easy to clean? Also, does anyone have the table top tray? I like the highchair tray as it minimises some mess and I've seen a tray made to fit on the Tripp Trapp by another company so trying to decide between them but the Stokke table tray is cheaper but just want to know if it's useful.

Thanks

Don't know about the tray because we didn't get one, just pull up to the table, but we did get the cushions for the seat and the back/arms.

They are pretty easy to keep clean, the fabric isn't laminated/PVC/PUL but it's treated in some way, maybe with some sort of stain repellent? Anyway, I found that a wet soapy cloth was enough to clean it up ok, and I popped it in the machine when it was bad.

However, we stopped using ours a few months ago. It was most useful when Adam was smaller - he started sitting up in it from just over 5 months old and I felt the padding made it a lot more comfortable. But because we use cloth nappies, I found that he didn't actually need the seat cushion because he was wearing a lot of padding; also it got harder to get him in and out. I also got fed up with wiping it, especially cleaning tomato-based food and bloody Weetabix, and one time when it was in the washing machine, I decided he was doing ok without it, and that was it, no more cushion for us. I may reattach the back/arm cushions one day but I doubt I'll bother with the seat one.

We got it, but I wouldn't particularly say it is needed. However I do put Ruby in the Tripp Trapp for times other than meals, it's used as a chair for her to sit in while I'm cooking or whatever so I like it to be a bit comfy.

It gets dirty but washes really well in the machine and dries quickly.

We have a Tripp Trapp (a gift from a friend who's Uncle works for them ) but never got the seat insert. When Amy was very little we used a normal cushion and a blanket and now we just place a blanket over the seat...it's so much easier to empty the bits & wash it.

We have the tray and I find it helps to contain some of her mess at the table, although I only got it as it came in a good package deal, not sure I would have paid full price for it.

We like the cushions and mostly wipe clean, with the occasional wash in the machine (made easier now that I have learnt how to get the cushions off without pulling the whole seat apart!)
