Can I cook with formula?

I know cows milk is OK for cooking but my LO is lactose intolerant. So can I use her formula?

I don't want to buy a bottle of LF milk because most of it would be wasted and I can't imagine its cheap :/

xx

I used formula in LO's recipes and with his cereal for breakfast - started doing it because he's still breastfed and I got all paranoid that breastmilk has less iron than follow on milk, so thought this was a good way to get extra iron in to him alongside his solids!

We've been doing it a while and haven't had any problems - I always use the ready mixed cartons though, so not sure about using the powder and mixing it with water to use in cooking
