follow on milk

not sure if this is in the right place, but when did you move to follow on milk? it says from 6 months onwards.. did you change at six months or wait a bit? did you change suddenly or introduce it gradually? any info would be great!

we did this a few weeks ago as Harriet was on 5 bottles of hungry milk (200ml) and 2oz water and 2 meals plus snacks at that stage we stopped the 1st milk and she was just on hungry milk for 2 days then we just switched to the follow on milk and we upped her to 3oz of water as her poo got very thick. Not had any problems with changing the milk apart of the thick poop after a week of the follow on milk she started to be hungry again so we moved to 3 meals a day plus snacks.

thanks, does the follow on milk affect meals? max is already on 3 meals a day and 3 9oz bottles a day, do they have more or less follow on milk or does it stay the same amount? i know nothing about this!

i think you should find no difference or maybe the meals might go down a little for a while the milk does appear to be nice and filling

I changed Anna to follow-on milk at around 6.5 months. I remember being told by midwife that theres no need to as LO can stay on first milk. They had the follow-on milks on a great offer in my supermarket so I got a tin and it went down well so just stuck to it.

I have not noticed any difference and Anna takes the same amount
