How do you make rice pudding

Was just reading a thread there about rice pudding and I remember I loved it when my mum baked it when I was younger.

How do you make it?
Does it freeze well if I make a big pot?
Just use cows milk - infact can you freeze something with formula in it??????

Thanks in advance!

I make mine with flaked rice and use 1oz of rice with 150ml of milk. I just use full fat cows milk though I can't see why you can't use formula if your baby needs a bit extra. I haven't tried freezing it, mainly because I have heard that reheated rice can be a bit dodgy with bacteria and things. I sometimes stir in some fruit to make it a bit more yummy!!

My rice cooker has a recipe for it, but I haven't tried making it. It did seem fairly easy to do it in there though.

Rice pudding is the easiest thing inthe world to make.

I did this the other day and it was lovely: served 4, so obv half or 1/4 the amounts as you wish

65g of pudding rice (cheap from Sainsburys)
1 pint of milk
30g of sugar

I chucked it all in an ovenproof dish, gave it a stir, cover it with some loose tin foil and set it to bake for 2 1/2 hours on gas mark about 175.

Simples
