Help 7 month old barely eating!

Hi all I'm after some advice please, I'm a FTM, and my LO has been weaned since 5 months 1 week, he usually eats half a jar of baby food, but for the past two weeks he is refusing to eat much

The HV told me off that he should be on 3 mealsa day but I cannot force it into him, he just won't eat. He is breastfed and hasn't dropped any feeds, I don't give him milk before dinner but he still won't eat food. He has toast but just plays with it.. I need help please, am I a bad mum?!

My LO refused to eat from the pouches when i tried to feed her she would either grab the spoon and would grip it so i couldn't have it back lol! or purse her lips and turn her head away so i've started with finger foods and she enjoys it alot more. Could you try him with some to see if he eats any better with those? I know my LO really loves strawberries and the corn snacks atm and she's just started on tomato and carrot rice cakes and will eat a bunch of those two.

Sometimes my LO won't eat anything either when i put things on her tray she just takes one look and starts moaning so i have to take her out and play with her instead, sometimes she just prefers milk but just remember that food is for fun until they are one so don't stress about it as they get their main source of calories from milk anyway. Also i have an NHS book and it says that they should just be starting to move towards eating 3 meals a day from 8-9 months and they should be on 3 meals by the age of one so don't worry x

Any teeth coming through? They go through phases of eating very little, and 7 months is still really young. It's slightly different as we did BLW, but my LO didn't eat much at all until she was over 1. If he's still having milk, relax and let him start to eat again in his own time.

Thank you both, he does eat sometimes he ate all of the homecooked food yesterday and he's liking the petit filouts (sp?) very much. I'm not sure if hes teething he may be but last time I didn't even realise until it popped through as he didn't complain!

I'm gonna go get some finger bits today and a blender! I think its just having mum, nan and the HV all say that he should have dropped milk to only 3 or so feeds a day, the rest should be water and food had me all worried. But he's happy breastfeeding still and so am I so I won't be stressing anymore.
