Finger foods when no teeth

My little girl is 8 months old but as yet has no teeth. She is weaning reasonably well but I am struggling to find finger foods that are soft enough for her to eat without posing a choking risk.

Any suggestions?

Well I buy these organix carrot puffs at the time she had no teeth but these just melt in the mouth so no worry of chocking or I put some sweetcorn on the tray of her high hair and she just picks at it and bread sticks .

I try banana - quite messy but he knows to put it in his mouth. I'm going to try the carrot sticks too as they sound good!

Veg sticks and fruit would probably be the best to start with. We BLW so LO was having finger foods from 24 weeks, she didn't actually get any teeth though until 9.5 months.

Veg: oven backed carrots, broccoli, sweet potato and potato wedges, butternut squash are great.
Fruits: backed apples and pears. Plums (my 6 month finish one a day by himself) Melon, bananas (I don't peal everything, so he can hold it), apricot.

We do blw and all is eaten no problem.

My eldest didn't get any teeth until 13 months but was eating everything given to him way before that!!

His gums were hard enough to chew on and he just mushed down food with them - even meat!

we tried baby rice cakes the other day and they turned really mushy really quickly so your baby might cope with those

I think it's only rock-hard things such as raw carrot that no-teeth babas wouldn't be able to eat.

She's actually getting a lot better at feeding herself now. Have tried her with some of the Organix products, cheese and grapes and she gets on with those just fine!
