nappies and weaning

We have been doing BLW very slowly since LO was just over 5 months. This week however, we've decided to go for it properly and so I've been trying to give her 3 meals a day since last week. We've also switched this week to the follow on milk (aptamil). Anyway, yesterday morning LO was showing signs of decreased appetite for milk, leaving about 3 ounces at each feed, so I've been a little concerned about that. And today she has had 4 dirty nappies (so far), all of which leaked onto her clothing, so quite runny. She seems fine in herself, but i'm just concerned that the solids are irritating her stomach or is it the follow on milk. Is this normal? What happened regarding your LO's nappies when they first started weaning?

I've no experience of the follow-on milk so can't advise you on that but weaning does generally cause their poo consistency to go all over the place (excuse the pun lol)

One day she could be constipated then the next its all the way up her back! It should calm down after a couple of weeks though.
