Lo is really getting into BLW now and is starting to go for it with shoving as much food in his mouth as poss and actually swallowing a lot of it too
But, with meat like chicken we are finding that LO holds it in his mouth and is still trying to chew it half an hour after eating... it often gets stuck to the roof of his mouth and we end up having to get it out of his mouth, unless he takes some water to help it go down (but he's not a fan of his cup so this isn't usually successful)
This happens sometimes with Jack too...we let him carry on chewing and eventually he swallows or he will spit it out. Weve never had to take it out for him though so not sure about that....i havnt got a hell of alot of experience though so hopefully someone may know a better way of offering meat
James is doing this with a lot of food now - usually his last mouthful. He screams until it falls out or we get it out, but trying to encourage him to manage it himself
Most successful meat for us has been turkey mince - it clumps much better than beef.
