Home made baby food and holidays!!!

For those who make their own baby purees, what do you do about baby food while on holiday?
We are staying in the UK but won't be able to keep food frozen on the journey.
I'll be honest, I didn't want to have to make loads of purees while we were away but I don't know what else to do?
I was thinking of getting some of those Ella's Kitchen pouches for days out etc. But I'm worried that if LO has them too often he'll reject my home made food! Lol!
Has anyone else had to do the same? What did you do?

Can you stick with food that can be mashed eg bananas, avocado, potato etc and alternate with the pouches? Maybe you could try a few finger foods before you go to give you more options?

Ive been thinking about this too. Although weve not started on solids yet, when we go on holiday my LO will be 6.5 months. I plan on buying a manual blender and just using any veg etc that we have with our meals. I really dont want to have to give him jars etc either. x

I just used the ellas kitchen pouches, but I used stage two so they still had some texture to them.

We will be going in holiday next month and although we have access to a kitchen I will need my blender and lots of Tupperware! I'm glad I have the 'stick' type blender so it won't take up so much room in my suitcase!

My LO has always had a mix of homemade food and jars/pouches. I've always used the recipes from the Annabel Karmel book for my homemade food. My LO usually eats everything I put in front of him and seems to enjoy the Ellas Kitchen pouches better than jarred food. However, although the Ellas Kitchen food is ok tasting, it never tastes as good as the homemade recipes. So I wouldn't worry too much that using a few pouches will put your LO off homemade food.
