Drinks when LO wont take water?

My LO isn't interested in nursing at the moment unless its nap time or bed time, so feel I need to supplement him with some kind of drink during this phase...

He won't take water or milk from a bottle, but will willingly take fruit juice diluted with water.

I know juice is OK at mealtimes, but does anyone have any idea what can I give him to drink when he's thirsty inbetween meals??

He's usually asking for a drink after his morning and afternoon nap and in the evening during wind down playtime.

I'd offer a sippy cup with water in or just continue to offer the breast.

What about the water you have cooked with? I have done this with pear and carrot so far and it's flavours she is familiar with.

If it helps my LO is currently ill with tonsilitis and a stomach bug and at the hospital they told me not to worry about his solids but keep his fluids up and as he is being fussy with his milk I can try and make smoothies or milkshakes with it I have to go to the shops tomorrow to get the fresh ingredients but I did give him a teaspoon of banana Nesquik with his usual milk today and he loved it and drank more milk than he has in days. It's not ideal due to the sugar but it was just for today, it will be fresh shake tomorrow.

If your worried about LO getting enough fluids they told me to press gently on his skin and if the mark returns to the normal skin colour within a few seconds then there is enough fluids getting through

My DS used to also refuse to drink water either from a sippy cup or a bottle. In the end I tried giving him a few spoons of water before his meals. I think he initially found it a novelty, then gradually wanted more and more. After buying countless sippy cups, which he rejected, I finally tried him with a Nuby brand cup. They have very soft spouts, and he took to it right away. He now drinks about 1.5 to 2 large cups of water a day.

Another vote for the nuby brand cups - its the only one LO can figure out how to hold and drink from. And it really is non spill!
