Cow's milk in cereal

I've heard you can start it from 6 months...is this true? Do you give your lo's cows milk? I'm used to the old way that you don't introduce it until a year old so I'm a bit wary if it will make him sick in any way. We use formula now but obviously is a bit expensive to go through a tub of formula just for a couple of oz on his cereal in the morning. He usually has either baby porridge or weetabix.

We used cows milk - full fat - since six months and never had a problem. He has it on his weetabix for breakfast. I asked on here I think ages ago and people said it was fine! x

It has always been considered fine to use cows milk in cooking or cereal from six months, it's cows milk as a main drink that is not advised until 12 months, there's a huge difference between having 2oz once a day on cereal and having 7oz 3x a day in a cup xx

I'll think I'll do that today then...thanks! And thanks for the reminder on the full fat milk, would have forgotten that!
