Maternity pay help !


I've just gone back to work after being on maternity but found out I'm pregnant due about oct 17th but my employer says I won't get smp will I be entiltled to anything, have any others mums gone bk to work like this

Did you get SMP the first time around? I can't see why you wouldn't get it if you did?

Yh I got it first time round but apparently I won't be able to this time not sure why

I started back on 7 feb found out pregnant 8th but will be at work till aug/sept so 6-7 months before babe due I was doing 40 now doing 36 so not much difference

Then you will be entitled to it. When you get your mat b form from the midwife they employer will have to tick a box saying why you are/not enties to mat leave. I see no reason why you wouldn't be as being on maternity leave is a continuity of service.
