hehehe. I would love to give this a go. ON a serious note - how does this affect your earnings? My contract at work says I cant take up a second job without their permission or something like that. I can imagine HR's face if I let them know Im looking to do this....

livelines work

hi prob to late to answer the question..but yes i do this job.. not my field of work at all... but needed something quick from my transaction from redundency not meant to be permanent job.. but im one of those people dont like change and just carry on plodding on sticking to it

my first reaction on reading this forum was WHAT are you all mad!! y god name would you want 2 do this job.. maybe im not cut out for it or im to prudish,or not very good at it..but i make around 30 a week.. working 20 hours and one full 12-6am that knocks me out for days as going to sleep before or after is a nitemare esp with children..so i lose precious time with my family.

20hour may not seem alot but it is.. i agree with everything said here.. no training or support really..just left to it..apart when you screw up or so tired u fall asleep or get fed up talking same thing over and over again to perverts on the other line..

things iv heard have shocked disgusted me.plenty paedos out there that escape even tho i report i dont feel any care taken.no interset.. i believe that should be reported to relevant people police etc.. had one guy go on about abductin a young girl and caging her..wont go into rest but hunts me for ever.. another just other night talk about how he never mind with one.. criminal walking around free and calling these lines up..while victim no justice

been sworn at well that regular tbh.. called all names..it has put me off men for life..all. men ARE the same.. and nearly all men cheat or will cheat..i would be devistated if my man was ringing up these lines..

im constantly tired and down at min.. knowing my night coming up fills me with dread no amount of pacing or red bull can keep me awake im afraid.. i spend most my times working out how many hours i have left to finish,, im trying to now do what iv been advised tyring to get out talking bout sex.. as all calls will expect it.. and just go on for long as possible not as easy as sounds (and i can talk for england)about myself and giggling.. when all they want to do is swear and call you dirty names..

guess if you that way inclined then yep u will find a giggle and love..but no offence to anyone that does..but i do wonder mentality and levels of sensability needed for this job as you never get to speak to any other the workers..but i def am not a dumb person or rough as you like type of person.

am looking into the other company now as no hour commitments or night seems like heaven but tbh i just dont want to do this kind of work anymore.. dont know how any girl claims to earn 300 plus a week????? i do 20 hours and try to get 5min calls that impossible and i get tops 88 a fortnight.. i think meant be 9 a hour??? cnat remember but that is only if you can keep callers on for that long constantly.. usually its 1 to 4 calls if busy an hour..and that ranges from1 to if lucky 5 mins.. tho can get 30 mins depending on person speaking to

goodluck to you all..i miss my old job badily.. used my brain and wasnt as emotional or physically mentally as draining and i was pretty high up.my confidence is dying and im struggling to have strength and will to attend interviews and find another childminder to return to office etc

oh with this livelines etc you are expected to work over xmas and new year regardless have to do 20hours if you mess up or get low calls or dont do your nights all your calls for that week get cut in half .. i struggle to put women down and play along with yes we women are all slags and we are dirt for u to use just like the porn shows u and yes we do honestly ring these numbers up to mess with ourselves with a random man .. its exploitation.. and i dont tell anyone what i do im to ashamed

livelines uk

I also work for livelines, they told me I must do 25 hours per week and that I need to do a night shift, I do a sat night and those 6 hours on a wk end night and that night alone gives me approx 40, I make bout 100.00 per week and I must say some calls are funny, not all are bad . The people in the office and the supervisors are rude and very unhelpful, I hate havin to speak to them. I also do this job due to redundancy. I would love to know how other people are getting on with the company and how much money other girls make, there is def money to be made if u have the time to knuckle down. Anyway might win the lotto, who knows, oh how the hell will I get out of working Christmas, no way am I working it or new year, didn't know they would half my wage, is that def correct? X

You can get PAID just to send 'rude' texts to men ??

i dont think live calls would be my thing but just texts wouldn't be so bad, if anyone knows, would this be worth it??

tiddar21 were you not advised by the company you work/worked for that if you receive such calls being suggestive towards minors and being rude to you unnecessarily etc that you MUST terminate the call? To me that is just common sense, you sure as hell don't sit there and listen to them waffle on about doing things that are obviously illegal! I am starting work for LiveLines and to be honest the rules are all common sense!

Chica1, sounds like the money isn't all that bad really, I'd be glad of an extra 100 a week lol! I've had no problems with the staff there however, how are they rude? What are the calls like that you get? I'm concerned I may find them so funny I can't hold back my laughter! What group calls do you receive mainly?

Hiya,

Recently joined livelines and done my 1st night shift (12am-6am) yesterday. I can't lie, it was a bore for the majority of the night, but thank god for catch up tv, I just got comfy on my sofa (or as I like to call it, my office) and waited for the calls to roll in. This job feels no different to working in a call centre, I find I'm just repeating scenarios. So far my call times have been pretty decent, I hit the jackpot and had a guy on the phone for over an hour last week.
Just wondered how anyone else is getting on, is the pay worth it?
Can't see myself doing this for long if the money is rubbish, I love my sleep too much!

Is it just me, but isn't it strange how the last few posters only have only posted once on the forum (in this thread) and have never posted since?!?

Ok So I work for livelines and i have done since just before xmas due to being at uni and not being able to find work to suit.
Firstly to the person that said she got swore at and called names, this hasnt happened to me, well not anymore than the obvious, being called a 'dirty b***h' but surely you know this is to be expected.
Also, to the person that says she only earns 40 a week, that is awful. I suppose it is one of them things you can either handle or you cant.
I actually find most of the calls funny and find just general chatting works, so ask them loads of questions, men love to talk about themselves.
Some weeks are worse than others and i have had a week where i only earned 50. Saying that there are good weeks, but dont believe them when they say you can earn 300 quid. In my experience you would litterally have to be logged in for like 80 hours to hit that kind of cash.
I like to work of 100 quid a week, anything else is a bonus.
As for the staff, yes they arent very helpful. I was struggling at first and they didnt really help. They tend to only care about getting their shifts covered. It says you can work as and when but i get on average of 3 texts a day asking me to commit to certain shifts and tell them in advance what kind of hours you are going to be doing.
The night shift sucks sure but i tend to do really well out of my night shift.
To put it in perspective you get paid about 14p a min and for however long you are logged on you should be doing about a third of that actually talk time.
They say if you are logged on 2 hours you should do an hour but i find its more likely to be a third of the time, so if you imagine 10 hours talk time makes you about 80 quid you have to put aside like 30 hours.
The bonus is i can sit here on the laptop doing uni work and such and then just take the calls as and when they come in. You do have to do something because to be honest its sometimes at least half hour between calls.
I do occasionally do quite well and have been known to have a handful of hour long calls.
I hope this is all helpful ladies xx
does anyone know any other companies like livelines?
