entitlement to working tax credits stops at approx £16,500. after that you are entitled to child tax credits (CTC) on a tapering scale.
Some people can still get CTC while earning over £40,000 although it might only be £10 a week.
You can go onto the entitledto.com website to give you a rough idea based on your income or the HMRC website also gives an estimate.
The govt. are scrapping CTC for those earning over £40,000 although this is to be phased in.
