Working tax credits please help?

"To continue to get Working Tax Credit during maternity leave, adoption leave or paternity leave, you need to have been working at least 16 hours a week (or 30 depending on your circumstances) immediately before you went on leave."

I was working 20-30 hours for the past 2 years, but was signed off sick the month before my maternity leave started, as i was unfit to work because of pregnancy and blood pressure. Does this mean i wont be entitled to working tax credits because i was very ill :s?

that statement is for people already recieving WTC, from what i gather you are considering a new claim so it would be based on your circumstances now not previously
