Currently Feeling:
Tax credit backdate.

I applied for child tax credit late july n received a letter saying im entitled to so n so a week n they are in payment but i haven't received my backdated payment, does this normally take a while? or do i have to call them about it.

Have they started paying you already?If they haven't paid you a backdated amount I would call them xx

they should yep,at least to the start of the claim,was your first payment more than your normal payment?xx

I'm not sure,I know child benefit is...on your award does it say how the first payment is broken down?I would call them in the morning.xx

I read on their website they dont backdate if the child is more than 3 months i sent in my claim when he was about 9-10 weeks.

generally what they tend to do is just up your payments for the rest of the year rather than give you one lump some at the beggining!! give them a call tommorow though hunny i may be wrong xx
