Housing Help !! ...


Iv got an appointment at the housing office friday ..

and iv told them that my mum wants me out and shes givin me a months notice..

they have said i need a letter from my mum signed and dated to say when she wants me to leave..

But i dont have a clue what this letter is ment to say!? ... isit like a formal letter notifying me that i need to leave .. or isit to the coucil telling them she wants me out .. !?!?

Has anyone had todo this orr any advice !? ..

Help pleaseee...

She needs to send a letter to the council saying that she has given you one months notice. Just a short letter, straight to the point will do. Round here though they don't care until you're actually on the street which is an absolute pi*stake!

It's the same in Leeds - they won't actually help you until you are made homeless. I guess it's to stop people just saying they have to leave when they don't really. I would get the details of who to contact in case your mum does actually throw you out at the end of he month.
Most councils will require you to go into homeless/ temp accommodation before they will assist you.
You can go on their housing register but people can be on that for years unless you get priority.

a letter to the council is all you would need. round here the council will put you in temp accom usually for 3 months ish, then you have to use your points to bid on properties. if you are eligable for housing benefit they also try to get you to look at private rental...
