Has anyone has problems claiming joint income support with baby no.2??

Hi everyone,
When I was pregnant with my little girl me and my partner claimed jsa until I was 29 weeks then we claimed income support together with no problem. After my daughter was 3 months he went back on jsa and got a job straight away shame it was for only 6 months, then he went back on jsa (last feb) and hasn't been able to find a job since. I'm 15 weeks pregnant with baba no.2 and considering going on income support when I reach 29 weeks again but my partner is worried that he'll sign off and they'll say we won't be able to claim income support and be stuck! So my question is has anyone had their partner sign off jsa when they was pregnant with baby number 2 and got income support without any problems, I know I still have a while until I'm 29 weeks but thought I'd ask sooner than later thanks xx

I don't think your partner will be able to claim income support. Was he working at the beginning of your last pregnancy? That might have entitled him to ordinary paternity leave and given him two weeks of income support, but I'm not sure how he managed to get 26 weeks!

Hia , My partner was on jsa then wen i was about 29 / 30 weeks preg, we went on a joint income support claim , and he didnt have to sign on at job centre or nothing just went on a joint income with me, he is still on it now at the mo with me. I have heared some job centres get funny about it, as they like people to be still looking for work as such, but you are entitled, no matter how much fuss some difficult staff there might be. I didnt have no problem i just rang up and changed us over straight away.
