Hi , Sorry if I have put this in the wrong section. I am new to this site and just getting used to the different forums.
I have just returned from India where I was visiting my boyfriend and just before I got back to the UK discovered I am about 5 weeks pregnant! My boyfriend is very supportive and we want to get married asap. I want to have the baby in the UK so I can be with my family, it's my first so I am very nervous! Now that I am in the UK I am focusing on finding a job so I can save as much as possible. The original plan was for my boyfriend to come on a visitors visa or a marrige visa close to the due date (this will allow us to get married but he won't be able to stay in UK). Me and the baby could then go to India on fairly long term visas as his family. I know I will be able to adjust in India as I have spent time over there, but I feel nervous about the prospect of raising a child in an entirely different continent. He is not at all close to his family but I am close to mine and feel their support is important. I have been looking through all the visa options for the UK and it seems so unfair. I have heard that for a spouse/fiance visa the sponsers (me)salary should be close to £27,000! I think this is absurd. I have been hunting for a job and struggling to find call centre work so it will be impossible to invite him here as my fiance (especially as now I'd have to prove I can support him and a baby !!)I know that I will have to go to India so we can bring up our baby together, but I feel guilty/sad cos my Mum is so happy at becoming a Grandmother for the first time. I know she'd love it if we settled down in the UK... Who else out there has gone through this ?seems so unfair.

hi i know its unfair and their rules and conditions tearing people apart!what about he will get student visa enroll to some school and then seek for spouse visa ect.i know that will cost too as he need to have money for fee............but hold on....... my OH and his mom are American Citizens and 27 years ago she came to england and meet my OH's dad(before Oh was born)and he got her Right To Abode(without right to work) without getting married (they got married when oh was 7).i will ask her how that worked and i will update you!

Hey , thanks so much for taking the time to listen to me. I appreciate it! Yeah we had also thought about the student visa, he will have to get hold of a loan of some sort to show he can manage the course fees but it's way more realistic than the fiance/spouse visa.
