Hi ladies,

I just wanted to know about maternity benefits second time around in Ireland

I am currently on maternity since Dec 2011
I am due back to work June 2012
I have been employed full time for nearly 5yrs (5yrs this Nov)
I do not have a contract
My employer does not contribute to my benefit - I receive state maternity benefit only

My LO is 4months old, we are thinking of maybe trying for baby no2 towards the end of the year or maybe sooner

...all depending on what maternity benefit I'd be entitled to

I know I have to go back to work before getting state benefit again but I just want to know how long do I have to be back in work before I can apply for maternity benefit.

I have checked a few of the Irish websites but I cant get my head around what they are saying... I need it simplified
