IBS sufferers???

Hi ladies

I'm currently TTC my first and also recently discovered that I have irritable bowel syndrome luckily I eat a lot of fruit, veg and fibre anyway so I don't 'suffer' as such with it, apart from the constipation and bloating side of it!!! My problem is, it's making me look and feel pregnant. I genuinely have a bump and starting to feel like I should be booking a doctors appontment incase I'm pregnant when I'm clearly not, it's the IBS! I'm worried I'm the only one who has it to that degree! My belly especially lower abdomen always feels full, not full as in eaten lots, but like it's generally full of whatever inside... Ive always been tiny, a size 6-8 however have gained weight within the last 2 years and now a size 10 but still slim, but I do look like I'm expecting and also feel 'kicks' clear as day, which I've researched and it can be either muscle spasms or trapped air in your gut. Does anyone else's IBS do this to them? I feel like I'm 6 months preg!!!

Xx

Hi didnt want to read and run but i can relate.
The other day i had this with my stomach, its a bit like i could see my stomach move the same way when i was pregnant and my dd would move not as pronounced but def a movement lol. Really bizarre. I suffer from ibs and my stomach spasms when i get stressed. Im a size 10 too and i seem to put on weight in that area and im def not preg, only a food baby lol

I also watch my gut physically move and I'm not sure if trapped air/gas is tied in with IBS but I feel kicks and thuds in my stomach sometimes repeatedly! Sometimes I'll put my hand on my stomach and anyone would swear it's a baby kicking so Ibs whilst ttc is a bit of a cruel thing!

Hahaha food baby

I don't have diagnosed IBS- although I suffered from stomach issues for YEARS. And traditional docs could never figure out why (after many many tests). Long story short- I finally got help with a Naturopathic doc (it was intolerance related to food)-- but I remember how BLOATED I would get. How my stomach would feel like something was in there moving! Pretty crazy! I thought I'd lost my mind at times!

I too used to say I had a "food baby" too! lol. I'd wake up and love my stomach (pretty flat and no bloat)- then by the end of the day I looked 4-5mos prego! Fun times. LOL.

Honestly hun- if seeing a doc for reassurance would help, why not? Maybe check into a naturopathic doc (least I'd recommend from my personal experience). But with diagnosed IBS- you should have better insight with any doc.
