Agnus Castus any experiences?

Hi all,

I am thinking of taking agnus castus to regulate my very irregular periods and was wondering if anyone has any experience?

I currently have the copper coil, had my son in June last year and had periods in October and some spotting and bleeding for 3 weeks this month.

I am seeing a gynaecologist on 12 May so I will ask them but I wondered if anyone has taking it to regulate periods even if they aren't ttc at the moment?

I know I'm probably mad for wanting to have periods but I just want to be normal!

TIA xxxx

Have you been to the Drs about this?! Have you had any blood tests taken to check your hormone levels?! When I was ttc I took it after my results showed that I had a hormone imbalance and slightly too much testosterone?! I took it after hearing how it can balance your hormone levels and I fell pregnant that month after trying for months as I couldn't track if I was ovulating even and my cycles were all over?! But I had irregular periods my whole life but never thought anything of it until I started trying for a baby! But I was underweight but it was my hormone levels I think?! So maybe see if you can get some tests done to make things clearer?! xox

Thank you, I went to a gynae last week and he said its normal to have 3 or 4 periods a year and not to worry. I guess cos we aren't trying yet they aren't that bothered. I do have an ultrasound booked and a telephone appointment so I will ask him them if I need to have any blood tests.

When I came off the pill to try for my son I did have a blood test done to check my hormones as I didn't have a period 3 months after coming off the pill. I found out I was pregnant the day after the blood test though so I kind of forgot about it!
