Vulvodynia anyone?!

Ive posted in gs aswell.
Has anyone had it and successfully treated it?
How do you handle it? pain relief wise

Ive not been diagnoised with this yet but im 99% sure this is what im suffering from, Ive had all the other tests done uti, yeast, bacterial, thrush, sti's! all have come negative and i'm now at my wits end!

It all started dec 2010 and has been coming and going ever since!

It burns not all the time as it comes and goes but over the past week it has come with force and i'm struggling to consentrate on anything.

Can someone give me some success stories as all the ones ive read on the web theyre doesn't seem to be a cure

Sorry to barge in on this thread but you peaked my curiosity. What exactly is vulvodynia?

I just found this thread and I know it's super-old but thought I'd respond anyway just in case it helps! I've had vulvodynia since 2006/2007, though mine (*knock on wood*) is provoked rather than generalized, so it usually only hurts during sex. Conceiving our daughter was a trial; I had to chart my ovulation basically so I could avoid having penetrative sex and more often than necessary (and thank goodness we conceived the first month we tried!)

Until a couple of months ago, nothing I'd tried had helped at all, even though I've been to specialists. I just started acupuncture, though, and for the first time since before we were married, my husband and I were able to have penetrative sex to completion (normally I stop him after just a minute or two!) twice in the past week (!!!). It still hurts a little, but it feels good too, and it didn't hurt nearly enough for me to want to stop. I'd totally recommend acupuncture if you haven't found something else that works for you!
