12 Week Scan Tomorrow!

Hi all, I'm new to this forum! First post! hello! We decided to try and concieve in August and by November we had a positive pregnancy test!

Tomorrow is our 12 week scan! I'm a mixture of excitment and nerves! We went for a scan at what turned out to be 6 weeks and 1 day to determine a due date so have already seen our little baby once - although there wasn't much to see just a flashy tiny heartbeat!! The due date we was given was the 31st July! We're hoping to see a lot more tomorrow!!

We have our appointment first thing - 9am and then we have the rest of the day off to go and share our news with our parents and grandparents (although my mum and dad know, hubbys dad doesn't!!)

I just hope everything goes well. I'm pretty sure it will be. Have a bit of a bump going on and pretty relieved that i won't have to hide it for much longer, and i have also had some pretty horrific ms! I've gone from being the most healthy member of my department to the most sickly - and getting bored of people bringing my sickness and absences up in conversation - i sound like such a skiver!!

I can't wait to see hubby's reaction to the scan! I feel like i'm completely living it and hope it will become a bit real for him tomorrow!!

Has anyone else had their 12 week scan - how did it go? Any tips?!

Just enjoy seeing your little one & his/her heart beating. It's amazing. I was crying so much my belly wouldnt stop bouncing!! x

That is my 12 week one yes. Well 11+3. We had one last Thursday which was so detailed. Spine & bones etc. Orange was sitting on his bottom with his legs up! Aww, I bet your so excited!!! I wish I could see 'him' every day!!

Oh gosh i'm in Aldershot! Really near!! What hospital are you plannign on having little one at?!

How come you had another scan?! We're thinking of having one of the 3D ones done - there is a place in Yately that does them!!

I'm so excited not sure if i'll be able to sleep tonight! Just hope everything goes well.

Any tips for tomorrow - online says mixed messages - some sites say full bladder others say it doesn't matter?!

Oh how funny!! Your round the corner!!

I had a scary bleed last week so they scanned me to check little one was ok. My GP used a doppler 2 days prior to the scan (when the bleeding started) so I knew it wasn't a miscarriage. Still really scary though. We've got a private scan booked for 27th (3D) Hoping to find out the gender! Although im 99% sure it's a he!

You should have a full bladder if you can. The scan will be clearer! It will be fine hun xx

Thankyou for the advice! I'll have a big glass of water before i go! and i'm glad to hear everything is good with your bump! That must have been scary.

Where are you having the 3D scan done. Why do you think its a he?! A feeling or something you think you saw on the scan?! I keep referring to baby as a he. Have no idea why!

How did your scan go??? Please post a piccie!

We are having it done in Taplow. My DF & i work in Maidenhead & Twyford so its just round the corner from us when at work. Its only costing £80 for 45-60 min session. I have a strong instinct its a boy. When we go into Mamas & Papas etc i tend to look more at boys bits, than girls and also when we've seen orange on screen, he just seems like an active boy!! Not long to wait to find out hopefully. Do you want to find out the gender?

Had the scan today - everything perfect - perfect measurements and due date accurate!! Best feeling in the world!! and got 6 pics of little tiddly!! Had such a lovely day telling friends and family - don't wanna go back to work tomorrow! hehe!!

I went to the mama and papas in Farnborough - i love it there!! I went their on Thursday! Loved it!!

Yay, so pleased your little one is perfect. Lovely pics. Do you still think boy? I've got my 16 week midwife app today so i'm hoping to hear oranges HB again today. Such a beautiful sound!

Isnt M&Ps in Farnborough lovely?!! We've been in there the last 2 saturdays deciding on our nursery suite!

Thankyou!! I couldn't believe how clear it was! I actually got six pics in total!! Very lucky me!! I really have no idea about the sex - some people reckon you can see from 12 weeks - but have no idea!!

How did your midwife appointment go?! What did it consist of?! Did you hear oranges heartbeat?! I can't wait for our next midwife appointment in Feb! I hope we get to hear the heartbeat again!! hehe!

My dad called me tonight saying they went into mama and papas and brought me the pushchair i like!! hehe! It will be delievered to the store in June!! Lovely suprise!!

I love all the nursary suites but think i'm going for the Rialto ivory white and wood one which is straight ahead of you when you go up the stairs - its the one that is on offer if you buy the full set and i love the Whirligig interiors range so think i'll be going for that one!! And the great thing is the colours already match our spare room that will become our nursary - so no decorating!!

I went into work today and actually told them i was pregnant so its all official now!! woo hoo!!! xxx
