Has anyone else gone through this before? I went for my 12 week scan and the ultrasound nurse was worried about the intestines still being in the cord, that they haven't went into the belly yet. She said if it doesn't correct itself then the baby would need surgery when it's born to have its organs placed where they need to be. I'm terrified. Please keep the stories as positive as possible because I'm scared to death right now. I have to wait until the perinatal? specialist calls me to get me in next week.

I haven't had any personal experience with this myself, but a friend if mine recently went through this scare and it had all corrected itself when they went for their next scan. I hope this is the case for you too. :hugs: xx

I sure hope so too teacup! I've never been in a high risk pregnancy before. I guess I'm just glad I get to see a specialist hopefully it'll ease my mind.

This is a normal finding until the baby is 56mm crown rump length. If your baby measured larger then 56 mm CRL you should ask for a follow up study in a few weeks at a higher risk clinic. If baby was under 56mm then the finding is considered normal for age.

Thank you! I don't remember what the measurements were but I go to a high risk doctor next week
