12DPO Faint BFP, now 13DPO BFN, any hope or chemical?

So I took a test yesterday in the afternoon (1:30pm) with a Tesco brand HPT. It came up immediately positive, as it was running. Then in the 5 minute window it was faint but obviously there.

I got really excited so ran out to get a FRER to confirm, and when I got home I realized I got a First Response One Step (the 100mui ones!) and was so annoyed with myself but took it anyway and was surprised to get another BFP. I even took an Asda Brand test and got a very faint (fainter than Tesco) line too.

I was over the moon, and excited to test again this morning (13DPO) with FMU hoping for an even darker result to show hubby and not only was it not darker, the Tesco test is a total BFN and the First Response One Step has MAYBE a shadow if you squint and tilt, but not 100% sure i'm not imagining it

So does this mean chemical? I've had an ectopic before as well so I am worried about that too AF is due tomorrow/maybe Friday at the latest.

I'm attaching the pics of yesterdays test, the Tesco one is a tweaked and then untweaked (I took the case off to take the photo cause the plastic was reflecting the light) and the FROS is untweaked in both pics. It's hard to see in the pics but not hard at all IRL.

I personally never get a great result with fmu, I wouldn't worry just yet, maybe wait until tomorrow and you could use smu or if your like me and very impatient test again this afternoon! Good luck, I hope you get a lovely bold bfp soon xx

Thanks for your replies ladies, I feel so crazy that in less than one full day I got so excited about it and now to get BFNs this morning was actually pretty upsetting.

Hoping it's one of those strange early pregnancy fluctuating hormone things with FMU just not being great for me right now, but kind of scared that AF will arrive tomorrow or Friday and it will be a chemical.

Maybe I will try to wait till tomorrow afternoon (so 48 hours after the first BFP) to give it a chance to double before testing again.... yeahhhhh IF I can wait that long!

Thanks! I just did ANOTHER tesco hpt after a 3.5 hr hold cause the wee was super dark and concentrated and it is a complete bfn why did I do that? Well obviously because I'm crazy and torturing myself but I'm pretty certain this will be a chemical pg now

Your not out yet Hun till the witch comes, fingers crossed your line gets darker they are defo BFP as for tescos test it was really hard for me to get a line I them in the early days yet the clear blue digital picked it up, also my FMU wasn't always the best either had more success with afternoon/evening pee, best tests for me were frer early ones and super drug ones as I got my bfp 7dpo quiet a while before my AF was even due, good luck xx

Thanks for your replies ladies! I held my wee (again lol) for 4.5 hrs this time and the FRER that showed up in the post this morning and it's a bfn too my cm has no blood in it whatsoever (it is still that yucky yellowish globby stuff I get when I'm pregnant) but my cervix is very low so not holding out any hope really.

Here are pics of my tests from today (tesco, FRER, and FROS) all which are either stark bfn or complete shadows/squinters/evaps. Sorry it's only letting me upload one at a time so I'm gonna have to do three different posts/attachments

First response one step. I think at this point I'm not going to test for at least a few days as af should arrive tomorrow or Friday unkess it gets messed up by the chemical?

That's so bizarre... defo all BFP's in the first photos. Don't rule it out yet hun. It could be so many different things like the test is slightly out, your pee wasn't strong enough, used too much pee...

When are you due for AF?

Just updating for any future women who might stumble upon this while googling their own situation (cause I know I did and it was frustrating when the outcome wasn't listed) I have started spotting today so I think that confirms the chemical/bfns.

It's a very light spotting but at this point I'm almost hoping the bleed will start full force so I can stop wondering and worrying.
