12m - Does she need other milk?

They don't need any extra milk at 12m do they? It's alright to continue BF without that toddler milk I keep seeing?

That toddler milk is full of extra vitiams and you really dont need even if not breast feeding as long as she is eating well ...there is no need to buy the toddler milk x

there's no need to give her extra milk, but she will need vitamins now! you might already be giving her them, i dont know, but my HV said to give abidec after 6m i think it was xx

its just cos formula's enriched with allsorts and your boobies only store enough iron for 6 months or something! but be warned, they stink and whent hey spit them out they're orange and stain clothes!!

I'm kind of, of the opinion that they didn't have vit tablets back in the 1900s

Agreed! Supplements can be valuable in certain situations, but a balanced diet is infinitely superior IMO!

I'm just doing some reading today for my ABM training and I thought of you straight away!

In the second year of BFing, 3 quarters of a pint of BM contains a toddlers daily requirement as follows:
43% of protein
36% of calcium
75% of vit A
94% of vit B12
60% of vit C

Do you need toddler milk because it's 'fortified with XY&Z' NO! The formula companies would have you believe that obviously but in fact you dont.

There is no need for extra milk or vitamins!!! If she is still nursing and eating a variety of foods, that's all she needs We did introduce rice milk to Hayden but not for a couple months after he turned one and just to give him something to have from his sippy other than water

yea they started so early!! probs why they dried up dead quick after lol, they'd already had 6 months of leaking!!
