13.5 weeks low backache like period starting

No bleeding. Low back ache for over an hour now that feels like my menstrual cramps do. It's driving me nuts. Is baby okay? Ugh I wish it would stop. 2nd trimester is supposed to be the relief one.

I have back ache right now, it's horrible! I've never been worried about it, I think it's part of pregnancy. My mum suffered with terrible backache throughout her pregnancy & I think I'll be the same as I've suffered with back ache on & off since 5 weeks!

I had horrendous backache with DD all the way through pg. she's now 5 so don't worry (easier said than done I know!)

Backache is completely normal...remember your whole inside is shifting to accommodate baby. As you tummy gets bigger, your center of gravity shifts forward putting more pressure on your back to try and counteract it. Its normal in early pregnancy and very normal in late pregnancy when you are huge. Baby is just fine.
