Hi,

My little boy is almost 15 months old and generally he has been a good eater (although he does not feed himself and i spoon feed him). But recently he has been really fussy with his food and wont eat more than a few mouthfulls. I constantly have to distract him to get him to eat.

I have been trying to get him to eat more lumpy food (he can handle stage 2, but generally will only eat 'wet food'.). He still gags a lot and then just does not want to eat. He will happily have yogurt/custard - basically anything sweet, but i only give him yogurt of mashed fruit.

He does not do 'finger foods' at all - well he will feed himself apple or maybe some cheerios but other than that most of the finger foods go on the floor.

Is this normal? I am worried that he is going to be a very fussy eater and i am just making a rod for my back by giving into him. But mostly i just want him fed without the tears! Please help. How can i make things better?
