14 week appointment

I had my first appointment at 10w3d so my next one will be 14w3d, I got an ultrasound at my first appointment to see how far along I was so what will happen at this one? I am not sure how many ultrasounds my insurance allows (Cigna). Also, the one after that I will be atleast 18w so do you think I will be able to find out the sex at that point?

Don't konw how it works in the States, in UK it would normally just be to check your urine and BP etc,maybe listen to HB, although they wouldn't even do that at 16 weeks for me... by 18 weeks they should be able to tell the gender hope it goes well!

Well here in the US, insurance normally only pays for 2 ultrasounds. Mine does. As far as your appointment goes, my 14 week appointment lasted every bit of 15 minutes lol I got all my vitals taken, gave a urine sample, the doc did let me see the baby but I was not told that was going to be done. She just said she wanted to have a live look herself. She let me hear the heartbeat and I was done.

its seems to be different over here i had my first app at 7 weeks then at 10 weeks but it was 16 weeks after that... they should be able to tell you the sex tho at 18 weeks i had my scan on 17th march i was 19+3 and we found out were on team xxx
