OK, it doesn't happen every night, only when he sleeps in past about 7:15ish so it's obviously the final wee that's making him leak. We currently use Pampers Baby Dry. He's just over 21lb and still in a size 4+ if we use them in the day. I tried moving him up to a 5 at night but it hasn't made any difference.

Problem is he sleeps on his front and so the front half of the nappy is saturated and the back bone dry. I tried him last night with a heavily boosted cloth nappy (bamboozle strectch with 3 LL bamboo boosters folded at the front - one in thirds and two in half, so seven extra layers - in A bLUEBERRY COVERALL WRAP) and he still leaked over the top of the wrap and the very front which is what the Pampers always do too. Yes, his willy definitely points down!!

So guys, what is a lot more absorbant than the Baby Drys without going up more sizes. Don't want to do trial and error too much as we use cloth in the day so I wouldn't want to have millions of sposies to use up if they don't work at night.

Would prefer sposies for convenience but will consider cloth suggestions if they are quick-drying, easy to use (wriggly child) and slimmer than the boosted bamboozle affair whuch I could barely get his pyjamas over!

Ooh I need something that will last 13-14 hours.

Hi. I've just recently had this problem with my LO. The only thing that I found that worked was Tesco Value size 5 nappies! During the day he uses Pampers Baby Dry size 4.

Thanks, hun! We don't live near a Tesco (bar the little express ones), but next time we're passing one I'll see if I can get some.

This happens with LO quite often.
She's 18m and in size 5Pampers. It happened last night actually! I think it just depends how much fluid they consume during the evening and before bed.
I dont have any ideas to fix it though :(

Other than trying other makes of nappy I can't think of anything.
DS had this problem and we switched nappies and then had no problem. From memory I think we went from pampers baby dry to pampers active fit. I also tended to move him up to the next size when he reached the lower weight limit of the bigger size.

Thanks guys. He's under the weight for a 5 (he's 21lb and the lowest weight for a 5 is 24lb so reluctant to move him up further). Guess it's just try some other brands and see. Think I have one Active Fit one somewhere a friend gave me.

Hiya I was having same problem so switched from boots to simply dry and baby dry n it was worse! The only ones she can use now are asdas little angels or tescos or if u have an aldi nearby ther just as good! x

We have recently switched to full time cloth but were recently still using sposies at night and the only ones that would hold his toddler wees were Huggies (the gender specific ones).

ETA: The setup we have going at night re cloth is a pocket nappy with (from top to bottom) two 3-layer microfibre inserts, two 3-layer hemp inserts and one 2-layer hemp insert and then over the top we just have a pocket nappy shell. No leaks so far - I made it up as an experiement one night as the night nappy I bought wasn't doing its job and voila :D

Alex drinks a lot of milk before bed and sometimes through the night too and we've never had a leak with Asda Little Angel nappies - the comfort dry ones. The nappy can be really, really heavy in the morning, but never leaks. Alex is a tummy sleeper too.

we had the same problem and tried everything - and all the nappies out there. Only thing that solved it was simple advice from a friend - change her nappy before you go to bed! I thought it would wake her but after a few nights of doing it she doesnt stir, and even moves her legs for you when you are putting the new nappy on. Solved the problem! We found she always leaked more just before she got new teeth. Sounds so simple now, as it was driving me mad trying out different nappies and things.

This happened with Jack a few months ago - I switched to Tescos Baby Ultra dry and also Asda Little Angle Nappies as I was using Pampers. He does leak now and again but on the very odd occasion now :)

Summer's 20 months and MOST nights we have this problem. For some reason she pees enough to fill a bath through the night. We use Asda Little Angels and I haven't tried any others because I honestly don't think it's the nappy, she just pees so so much. She goes to bed with an 8oz bottle and has another at 5am but sometimes she can be wet from 1am ish. I don't change her because it doesn't bother her and she's easily stimulated so getting her back to sleep would be a nightmare! No suggestions for you because we've simply taken to using waterproof sheets, and then obviously stripping her first thing in the morning :)

I have been having the same problem, I have just cut down his drinks intake and he's still leaking. Yesterday I bought wilkos cosy dry in size extra large and 'touch wood' he was dry this morning nappy totaly full but dry. I was thinking of buying so plastic pants to put over the nappy but not sure if you can still buy them!

Like a few others on here I use Asda Little Angels and the only time he leaks is if he's drunk too much in between changes. Other than that I've never had a problem with them :) I highly recommend them

Thanks everyone. I'm reluctant to wake him to change his nappy when we go to bed as he's a pain to settle again (especially by the time we've got him out of his sleeping bag, pyjamas etc). But certainly if he wakes in the night for another reason, we could change him in the night those nights.

We're heading to my mum's this weekend and she has an Asda in her town, so I'll try and get some Little Angels nappies while we're there and give them a go.

I don't think the wee bothers him - it's only a small amount (seems to come over the waistband of the nappy once it's full) and just makes his pyjama bottoms soggy - sometimes his sleepign bag too but sometimes night.

We sometimes have the same prob, we use pamper active fit size 5, he's 26 pounds. And try to change it about 20 mins after his bedtime bottle, but I have noticed on the day he drinks more water/ juice it happens, sometimes he can drink two full beakers of juice....it's hit and miss to be honest, so sorry no real advise

Thanks everyone. I got some size 5 Asda ones at the weekend as a few of you recommended those and they seem to be doing the trick. He slept until 8am this morning and no leak!!!! We did have a leak yesterday (only 7am wake up) but it looked like DH hadn't done a brilliant job of putting the nappy on on that occasion so think that wasn't really the nappy's fault.

So, I think we're onto a winner! I think it's the fact that the have a much deeper 'waistband' above the absorbant part that the wee can't come over the top as easily. So they definitely seem to be a big improvement and only work out about 15p a nappy whereas the pampers ones are about 22p.

we've recently moved to where our local supermarket is Asda, and we switched to Little Angels, and they're great. wish we'd always used them (Adam was in Pampers Baby Dry at night, cloth in the day).

we used to have a leakage problem, for a few months when Adam was about the age of your LO. my best solution (when upsizing didn't work) was to put a Motherease Airflow wrap over the top, with a Bum Genius microfibre newborn insert between the nappy and the wrap. it worked most nights. I was so sick of the wet sleeping bags and pyjamas!

Typical - the Asda nappy had leaked this morning. It was at the side this time so don't know if Xavier slept in a different position last night or just fidgeted a lot and worked the nappy slightly loose (he was coughing a bit in the night so maybe didn't sleep brilliantly).

Worst case we'll try the wrap over the top! Thankfully the two most recent leaks have only gone to his pyjamas and not as far as his sleeping bag or sheet.
