Soo what happens at one, im a little nervous, ive heard that they listen to babys heartbeat, but not sure what else to expect also, will they let record babys heartbeat on my phone xx

I cant really say as im way past 16 weeks and only just found out but i wish you the best of luck hun x

they would let you if you get a nice lady some can be grumpy.... get whoever you are going with to just do it im going to...

goodluck, i think they test for downs syndrome at that scan also

At my 16 week check they checked urine, BP, talked through blood results & talked about 20 week scan. You will probably hear the heartbeat & I don't see why they wouldn't let you record it! :) xx

Good Luck :flower:

Listened to bubs HB with the Doppler, checked my Blood pressure, weight and asked how I was doing, I had to bring a urine sample with me and she checked it

I have my 25week appointment tomorrow I expect the same plus measure my bump and I have questions for her xxx

All my appointments have been the same.

Get weighed, blood pressure, asked if I feel movement, asked if I've felt ill in any way, listening to heart beat, and then asked if I have any questions. I did schedule my ultrasound at 16 weeks I believe as well.

I have two different midwives. At my 23 week appointment the one midwife did, but at my 27 weeks appointment the other midwife didn't. I have an appointment with one of the doctor's in the practice this Friday (since I'm due so close to Thanksgiving, they can't be sure who is going to be available when I go into labor!) and I'm expecting him to measure me.

I think it depends on how worrisome your physician is. The one midwife is more so hands on, talks a lot, etc, she's the one who measured me. The other midwife is very hands off, will talk during the appointment but not a ton, doesn't bring up concerns if you don't have any, assumes that everything is okay as long as there's no obvious problem (baby's heart beat was perfect) and she didn't measure me.

I love them both. :) It's two different styles, but they both work for me.

Doctor's tend to be a lot more worrisome and all, so that's why I'm thinking he'll measure.

So pretty much, I think it depends on the personality as to whether they'll check you or not!

Thanks girls it all went well, i had already booked my scan after my 12 week scan, they said it would be easier if i did it while i was there plus it was more notice for OH to get time off work too, But yeah i had my blood pressure checked and a urine sample done, and talked through my blood tests, and heard bubs heartbeat right at the end, which was amazing, it put my mind at rest so much i find everytime i have an appointment booked, i get really worried and scared the day before and end up making myself sick, so hopefully now it wont be so bad and i wont worry so much as im nearly at 20 weeks. xxx
