16 week midwife appointment

I have my 16 week midwife appointment in an hour - what will the midwife do?
I'm a first time mum pregnant with identical twins. Will she be able to listen the heartbeats ?

Yep should be able to hear the heart beats loud and clear at 16 weeks such a nice sound, other than that just checked urine and blood pressures and checked where my uterus was.

What Emzy1 said, she checked urine, blood pressure and listened to the hearbeat and just asked how i was feeling etc x

well for me she didn't listen to HB at my 16 week appt. All she did was take blood pressure, check urine, ask how i'm doing. Then filled in my records with all the blood results etc. That's about it

Checked blood pressure, urine and listened to heartbeat. Was quite a short appointment, about 20-25 mins...

With mine she checked urine, blood pressure, done my blood results, listened to baby, asked how i was and said about flu vaccine, was there all of 10 mins lol

Had mine last week, since it was my first it was mainly asking me questions and ticking off boxes on the forms they had. They did check for heartbeat and took my blood pressure. Said I can do the urine next time I come in and didn't do bloods since dr took those already before I got signed up to midwife she also scheduled a pap, I will be over 20 wks when this takes place so a little nervous about that.

You'll be fine and hearing the heartbeat is wonderful

We have ours at 18 weeks in my area booo do they weigh you at appointment? xx

mine was about 7 mins - urine check and asked how i was then away. no listening to babies etc. i was pretty disappointed. hopefully yours will be better! x

Well it was great ! got all my blood pressure, blood results and she said I looked great and really healthy ( which I was a bit worried about with having twins!)
We listened to the heart beats, which was amazing ! And I recorded them on my phone, so OH could hear!
We have our 16 week scan tomorrow, so we're looking forward to that too - hoping they might be able to say if they are girls or boys !!!

I dont have a midwife, but my doctor checked my urine, blood pressure, asked questions and listen to babys heartbeat at 16 weeks

nurse took my weight, blood pressure and listened to heartbeat..than talked with dr and made appt for ultrasound.
