Sophia was born on Friday morning and since then passed meconium 3 times (incl yesterday), but did not poo since then
I am combifeeding, started to give her a bit of formula yesterday, can that be a reason?
Her tummy is quite hard as well. Plenty of wet nappies though

Babies that young really should be pooping every day. Maybe call a health line and ask what they think?

I disagree. After the first day (during which my daughter pooped a zillion times) it was another couple of days before she did again. Midwives said it was absolutely normal and to give her a day or two to let her little body work things out.
I personally wouldnt be worried yet :)

That's why I suggested contacting a medical professional. They'll know if it's OK. They know more than me. I've just always been told that babies that age should be pooping multiple times a day.

My DS was born on a Sunday night pooed meconium Monday Tuesday and a proper yellow seedy poo Wednesday Thursday then not again fur three days. Right after midwife and health visitor had been, panicked me no end but he was fine.
If she doesn't poo by tomo it's worth giving midwife or HV a ring mostly because you mentioned her stomach was a bit hard and so far she has only had meconium and it will put your mind at rest. I'm sure you will get a lovely POo explosion soon though.
Congratulations though what a lovely name.

I combi fed DD and this precisely what happened. DS was BF and was a poop machine. DD is a poop every other day. I asked the midwife she said ff babies can poop less.

I agree with formula messing the pooping system up. My babies were all bf so they pooped at least 4 times a day every day till about 6 weeks but still speak to midwife or health visitor as this was always a question they asked me regularly. But don't panic about it I'm sure it's totally normal with the formula being added. X

Thanks!
I bf my son and remember him pooping loads at this age, probably formula messed up everything.
Will be bf only for now and give midwife a call tomorrow morning

I'll call midwife tomorrow morning if she does not do anything by then.

Thanks! This is probably what is happening. I'll just bf for now and see how she gets on and call midwife tomorrow morning if she still the same. All these worries with newborns!

Both of mine did this. DD1 was ebf at this point and dd2 was combi fed at this point- so for me it didn't matter. DD1 had to have the dr put a thermometer in her butt to help her go (it worked) and dd2 finally went on her own on day 4. When I called the dr for dd2, they said to call them if it was more than 3 days. She went the morning of day 4 so I didn't need to go in. So for my kids formula didn't really make a difference.

Thank you StranjeGirl, its good to know that!

She did poop this night :) after what seem to be 5h marathon feeding session till 2am, she pooped and fell asleep :)
