Hi all, Joined today as really need support. Have wonderful hushand (my hero), great sister and parents but definitely need support from this group as I know they will worry too much!
I got married 29/8/11, we decided we would wait till we got married before we started a family. Although I am older (at 36 in 2 weeks), I really wanted the umbrella of being married before having children. So I guess put some pressure on myself that way. So on our honeymoon in Italy, last 2 weeks of September '11 we started baby making, amazingly we got caught after the first cycle. At this stage it was very relaxed, not checking ovualtion etc, so we were very thrilled to be so lucky.
Of course no one considers miscarriage untill it actually happens, I thought the issues were with getting pregnant, not staying pregnant. So when the path to miscarriage started to unfold I felt totally out of my depth. We lost the first pregancy at about 8 week, foetus stopped growing at 5 weeks, no HB ever picked up, infact the sack was empty so all very early stages.
Miscarriage was fairly straight foward and returned to work after a week or so. Miscarriage 5/11/11.
We decided to try again as before, nothing planned or calculated. Amazingly we got pregnant straight away, no period between miscarriage and pregnancy. So difficult to date but about 3/12/11 for second pregnancy. Started with some bleeding early January and had full miscarriage by 30/1/12. This time is was much worse, bleeding very heavy and over 12 hour period, left severly aneamic and off work for 4 weeks. Had to build up blood levels etc
So this time we decided to wait, with advice from all the great staff at EPU and Gyny ward. I will have had 3 full cycles before we try again, they have been all very regular and exactly the same pattern I had before.
So now we are about to try again. I am extremely nervous and not sure what to think. Trying to be relaxed and looking after myself. Any advice, previous experiences would be greatly appreciated. Or if anyone is at the same stage as me would love to be able to support each other together
