My daughter is 20 months old. We don't have any kids living nearby and she would get bored, frustrated and plain miserable for not having any interaction. Even the mother-toddler programs that I took her to didn't suffice. We have now put her in a playschool, a very nice, friendly, warm and creative place, not one of those moneymaking overambitious ones that promise to make geniuses out of your kids. The first two days, she was thrilled and loved being with the other kids. The teachers and I were surprised, because we expected her to be fussy and start crying.
Now, a week has gone by and she has started to get very fussy and starts calling out for mummy, so much so that she has to be sent home pretty early. I come to pick her up, and I wait near the school everyday. Is there any way I can help her through this? The teachers are very supportive and understanding but they assure me that it is better if we are consistent with her and the rewards will be wonderful.
Just advice -- how do I deal with her SA?
