20 week scan in couple of days - anyone elce?

Hi! . Met a few ladies who had scans on/around my 12w scan and wondered if you have your 20w scan coming up?

Mine is on Tuesday (9th) at 12:10pm, mixed feeling of anxious and excited. I had a private scan at 17w and found out we're having a little boy . Just want this main scan to come out clear.

Cant believe we're half way!

I have mine on Tuesday also, at 11.50, followed by a consultant appointment due to my previous emcs. I think he's going to try to convince me to try for a vbac but I'm unsure.

Before I fell pregnant I was set on an elective section. I'm a bit more open to the idea of vbac now but at my age the risk of needing a section anyway are 40% so a bit of me thinks why bother with the stress of vbac if I'm going to end up in theatre anyway... I don't plan on having any more kids.

Awesome! You're gonna love it! It's amazing how big baby has gotten since your last one. I just had my 20 week ultrasound last Tuesday. She's so adorable. She was sucking her thumb. I keep replaying the image and it makes me smile. My little creature.

Ohhhhhh 24h till scan! Quite looking forward to it now .

Mine's Friday! I'm hoping to stay Team Yellow so I hope everyone cooperates. So very excited and hope I carry that with me this week. Still haven't felt movement at 20 weeks. Thought I did this morning, only to be proven wrong. Good thing I am still cracking up over gas.

Todays the day ladies!

Been trying to keep myself busy. Another two hours till scan but live an hour away from hospital (if its a bad run). Really nervous, just want it over with.

My scan went fine, everything looks as it should. Is a great relief although I know nothing is guaranteed.
The photos I got are rubbish, baby is sitting bolt upright in my uterus facing outwards, which made me smile as that is how my son insisted on being carried for the first 6 months of his life! I'm staying team yellow and have no gut feel about the gender of this baby. DH thinks it is another boy. I really don't mind either way, but it is nice guessing! X

I found out I have an anterior placenta this time, they were surprised I have been feeling movement since 10 weeks. Must be because I am slim I guess.

I had my appt with consultant about vbac too; I think he was expecting me to have made a decision but I haven't so I have to go back at the end of February to tell them what I've decided.

Im so glad all is well!!! And you managed to stay team yellow - impressive! . At least you have some time to think about vbac options as you were unsure today. Im not very clued up on it but guessing you had emg c-section so can now either try vbac or scheduled c-section with this baby - correct me if im wrong.


My scan went just perfect. He confirmed we were having a little boy and all other measurements of organs came up spot on. Couldn't be more relieved

Fab picture and great news! Seriously my pictures are all blobs! On one it is semi-profile but it's hand is over it's face...!

Yes I had EMCS last time. Thinking maybe I will try the vbac option but I'm expecting baby to have different ideas and stay upright!!

Yeh he got some awesome pics - couldn't fault him. Sorry to hear your pics aren't as good, its a 50/50 chance isn't it .

Hummm... I know a few friends who had emg c-sec with first baby, one friend did vbac for second pregnancy and got on fine, my other friend preferred to have a planned c-section so she had an exact date. Giving birth vaginally wasn't the be end all for her and said it might end up c-sec again anyway so might aswel plan it! Can see pro's to both sides - tough decision
